more fun with yarn

I have now finished two baby blankets and given one of them away.

I also for christmas presents made several scarfs. I don't know why have didn't just follow a pattern that someone else had already figured out, but just like the baby blankets the scarfs I made up the pattern on my own as I was going along.

I never thought that winding yarn around on a hook over and over again would be my way to get away. My grandmother taught me to crochet as a small child and I really was not a good student. I found the task boring. Now that I am older I find that it is relaxing. I actually enjoy being able to make things that I find pretty. My lastest project is several baby blankets that I entend to donate.

Trying New Things

I once heard that the whole point of living your life was trying new things. For the moment Blogging is the new thing I am trying, we'll have to see what happens from here.
